Royal Horse Guards officer figure · Household Cavalry miniature 75mm · British cavalry model kit

AB/01

Full-dress splendour of the Household Cavalry: this 75mm scale resin figure depicts an Officer of the Royal Horse Guards, circa 1825. One of Britain’s most senior and imposing regiments, the “Blues” wore a uniform rich in gold lace, plume and polished metal — a magnificent showpiece for the display cabinet. Sculpted by Alan Ball as a full figure.

The kit is a multi-part resin figure supplied unassembled and unpainted, and requires assembly. Any groundwork shown in the photographs was provided by the artist and is not included. Not suitable for children under 12.

Deep blue cloth, gold bullion and gleaming helmet make a bold, high-contrast paint — our Kolinsky sable brushes hold the point for the lace and orders, while a dry brush brings up the metalwork. Browse more of our historical figure kits.

Russian artilleryman figure · Crimean War Russian miniature 90mm · Charge of the Light Brigade

AB/18

The other side of the guns: this 90mm scale figure depicts a Russian artilleryman at the Charge of the Light Brigade, Crimean War 1854. Russian subjects are far rarer than British ones, which makes this gunner — defending the battery at the end of the valley — a valuable and characterful addition to any Crimean collection. Sculpted by Alan Ball.

The kit is a multi-part figure supplied unassembled and unpainted, and requires assembly. Any groundwork shown in the photographs was provided by the artist and is not included. Not suitable for children under 12.

The dark green Russian coat with red facings is a satisfying, sombre scheme that sets off the bright British uniforms beautifully — ideal for our Kolinsky sable brushes. Pair him against the mounted 11th Hussar or take the ready-made “Charge the Guns” combat set, in our Crimean War miniatures range.

Sudan campaign set · Victorian colonial figure set 75mm · Sudan 1880

AB/15

Britain’s desert army in one box: this 75mm scale figure set gathers four representative figures of the Sudan campaign, 1880 — a Guards Camel Corps trooper, a Royal Naval Brigade rating, a Royal Artillery gunner and a Royal Engineer. Sculpted by Alan Ball, together they make a ready-made Victorian colonial display or the core of a larger diorama.

The set is supplied as multi-part figures, unassembled and unpainted, and requires assembly. Any groundwork shown in the photographs was provided by the artist and is not included. Not suitable for children under 12.

Four different roles in a shared palette of khaki, blue and white make this a satisfying project with plenty of variety — our Kolinsky sable brushes give the control for faces and detail, with a dry brush for the dust and kit. Prefer them singly? See the Camel Corps, Naval Brigade, Royal Artillery and Royal Engineer in our Victorian miniatures range.
