Cavalry command at Assaye: this 75mm scale resin figure depicts Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Maxwell of the 19th Light Dragoons at the Battle of Assaye, 1803. Maxwell led the British and Company cavalry in Wellesley’s hard-won victory over the Maratha Confederacy during the Second Anglo-Maratha War. Sculpted by Alan Ball, he is a fine addition to a display of the Assaye command.

The kit is a multi-part resin figure supplied unassembled and unpainted, and requires assembly. Any groundwork shown in the photographs was provided by the artist and is not included. Not suitable for children under 12.

One of Britain’s most senior and imposing regiments, the “Blues” wore a uniform rich in gold lace, plume and polished metal — a magnificent showpiece for the display cabinet. A defining moment for Britain's greatest soldier: this 75mm-scale resin figure depicts Major General Arthur Wellesley at the Battle of Assaye in 1803, during the Second Anglo-Maratha War in India. It was here that the future Duke of Wellington forged the reputation he would carry through the Peninsular War to final victory at Waterloo. Sculpted by Alan Ball, the figure is a superb character study of the young general in the field.

Sculpted by David F Grieve, it captures the classic British line infantryman of the Hundred Days campaign in fine detail, down to the equipment and back-badge tradition that made the 28th famous.
