Royal Artillery Cape Wars bust · Cape Frontier Wars 1830 · 1/12th colonial bust

Black Eagle Miniatures presents a 1/12th scale resin bust of a British Royal Artilleryman of the Cape Wars, circa 1830. The Cape Frontier Wars in southern Africa are an unusual and characterful subject, and this gunner — the first of a four-bust Cape Wars range — makes a distinctive addition to any collection of British colonial history. Sculpted by Steve Leadley.

The kit is a multi-part resin bust supplied unassembled and unpainted, and requires assembly. Any groundwork shown in the photographs was provided by the artist and is not included. Not suitable for children under 12.

Painting this bust

Dark artillery blue with red facings and gold lace makes a handsome, classic scheme — ideal for our Kolinsky sable brushes. Collect the whole Cape Wars range: the Mounted Rifles NCO, 2nd Regiment of Foot and Native Scout, in our model busts range.
